Introduction to Warren Murphy III "DJ Hardhead"
Warren Murphy III I'm a native of New Orleans, Louisiana. At the tender age of 14, I moved to the DC metropolitan area and remained here until after I served in the Marines at age 27. The move gave me great exposure to the world of music. From zadico, and music for that hole in the wall in New Orleans, to the mainstream of Go-Go in the late 80's early 90's and right back to the world of bounce again in New Orleans. My musical palate has been exposed to all types of music and entertainment.
Growing up in New Orleans' 7th Ward, my father, a NOLA Postal Worker, and graduate of Gramblin State University, also dabbled in the world of DJ'ng in New Orleans. Through parties and family events, he would DJ and head the musical entertainment. My mother was not new to the musical world either, as a former Satin Doll in the Southern University marching band.
All of these musical elements contributed to My diverse musical background. I love to be social and my southern roots give me a charm that makes me warm and familiar. I can easily transform any event into a party to remember.
